Guillaume Marmin è un artista visivo francese, formatosi all'Università Lyon II e all'ARFIS di Lione.
Il suo lavoro, da sempre legato alla scena musicale e alle arti performative, rientra in una rivisitazione della creazione visiva che supera i mezzi tradizionali di racconto e media performativi. Attraverso il suo lavoro, Guillaume Marmin ricerca un nuovo alfabeto sinestetico, un linguaggio in comune tra suono e luce, ritmi, contrasti e figure evanescenti in movimento.
Nel desiderio di offrire nuovi supporti a questo nuovo linguaggio, Marmin supera lo schermo e sperimenta su diverse superfici: mapping 3D su sculture ed edifici, proiezioni su fotografie e stampe, corpi in movimento o fumo.
I suoi interventi immersivi nello spazio pubblico sono spesso occasione di collaborazione con architetti, scenografi, musicisti, light designers.
I suoi progetti sono stati presentati in diversi festival e istituti di cultura, tra cui Scopitone, Signal, Biennale Némo, Centro di Ricerca Astrofisica di Lione, Digital Art Center Taipei.

Trained at the University of Lyon II and ARFIS, Guillaume Marmin is a French visual artist.
His work, connected from the beginning to the music scene and performing arts, is part of a revival of the visual creation by overcoming traditional forms of storytelling and traditional performing media. Through his work Guillaume Marmin is looking for a new synaesthetic alphabet, a common language between images and sounds, rhythms, contrast and sleek moving figures.
In order to offer new media on this new language, the work of Guillaume Marmin is taken away from the traditional screen to test all types of media: mapping on 3D sculptures and buildings, projection on photography and screen printing, bodies in motion and smoke. His immersive works in public space consisting of collaborations between architects, musicians and lighting designers.
His works have been exhibited in festivals and art centres around the world, such as Scopitone, Biennale Némo, Signal, Centre de Recherche Astrophisyque de Lyon, Digital Art Center Taipei.
