Nonotak nasce nel 2011 come collaborazione tra l'illustratrice Noemi Schipfer e l'architetto e musicista Takami Nakamoto, quando gli viene commissionato un murale per l'androne di un edificio di public housing a Parigi dallo studio Bigoni-Mortemard.
Nel 2013 iniziano a lavorare ad installazioni sonore e luminose, creando ambienti immersivi eterei e surreali intesi ad avviluppare lo spettatore, mettendo a frutto l'approccio di Takami Nakamoto allo spazio e al suono, e l'esperienza di Noemi Schipfer nel kinetic visual. Presentano la loro prima installazione audiovisiva al Mapping Festival (Ginevre) nel maggio 2013. Nell'estate dello stesso anno, Nonotak esordisce con la performance Late Speculation, in cui i due artisti sono allo stesso tempo creatori e attori del progetto.
NONOTAK ha realizzato progetti su commissione per Mapping Festival (Ginevra), EM15 ELEKTRA / MUTEK (Montréal), La Nuit Blanche (Parigi), Roppongi Art night (Tokyo), Axcess Art Gallery (New York), Stereolux (Nantes), Playgrounds Festival (Tilburg), Mirage Festival (Lione), Vision'R, Insanitus Festival (Lituania), FUZ Festival (Parigi), Lunchmeat Festival (Praga), KIKK Festival (Belgio), Nokia by Lumia (Istanbul). Il loro lavoro è stato esposto anche presso istituzioni e gallerie d'arte come Tokyo Grant Hyatt Hotel, l'Opéra de Lyon, Batiment d'Art Contemporain de Genève, Theater de NWE Vorst, La Fabrique, Pavillon Carré de Baudouin, Le Générateur.

Nonotak is the collaboration between the illustrator Noemi Schipfer and the architect musician Takami Nakamoto. Commissioned by the Architect Bigoni-Mortemard to create a mural in the lobby of a public housing building in Paris, NONOTAK was created in late 2011.
In early 2013, they start to work on light and sound installations, creating an ethereal, immersive and dreamlike environment meant to envelope the viewer, capitalizing on Takami Nakamoto's approach of space & sound, and Noemi Schipfer's experience in kinetic visual. They presented their first audiovisual installation at the Mapping Festival in may 2013. In summer 2013, NONOTAK come up with a performance, LATE SPECULATION, where they are the creators and contents of the project.

ZERO POINT TWO V.2 è un'installazione luminosa che fa parte di una serie di sculture in fibre ottiche. E' composta da sottilissime linee disposte in una griglia. Ogni singola linea di luce agisce individualmente come una fonte indipendente, in sincronia con la colonna sonora.
Isolata in una scatola nera, l'installazione crea una dimensione del tutto nuova di riferimento spaziale e prospettico per l'osservatore, instaurando un gioco sulla percezione visiva e spaziale.

Each single line of light is individually acting as independent source in order to sync with the sound narrative.
Being isolated in a black box, the installation constitutes a whole new dimension of landmark and perspective for the audience, allowing the installation to play with the visitor's visual and spatial perception.
