Olivier Ratsi è un artista visivo francese che vive e lavora a Parigi. Il suo lavoro presenta realtà oggettiva, tempo, spazio e materia come una serie di nozioni intangibili.
Concentrandosi sull'esperienza della realtà e della sua rappresentazione, così come sulla percezione dello spazio, Ratsi concepisce lavori che incoraggiano lo spettatore a mettere in discussione la sua interpretazione di cosa è reale.
Come pare integrante di questo processo, Ratsi crea dei sistemi che destrutturano i nostri punti di riferimento spazio-temporali, spesso usando la tecnica dell'anamorfosi sviluppata durante le sue ricerche.
Creando una frattura con la realtà oggettiva, i lavori di Olivier Ratsi non puntano tanto a stimolare le sensazioni o perturbare i sensi, quanto più a fungere da catalizzatori per punti di vista differenti, per riferimenti psicologici e culturali. Pertanto l'osservatore non è privato della sua capacità soggettiva di ricostruire/ricostituire la realtà, ed è invitato a prendere posizione riguardo all'opera in base alle proprie reazioni.
Olivier Ratsi è riconosciuto tra i co-fondatori e membri originari del collettivo artistico AntiVJ. Ora lavora individualmente e ha esposto in mostre personali e collettive in tutto il mondo, presso Denise René Gallery e Charlot Gallery, Paris, FR; Atsuko gallery, Tokyo, JP; Puerta Roja, Hong Kong, HK; Wood Street Galleries, Pittsburgh, USA. Il suo lavoro è stato presentato in musei come OCT Museum, Shanghai, CN; K11 Art Village, Wuhan, CN; D-Museum, Seoul, KR; National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, TW. Olivier Ratsi's work presents objective reality, time, space and matter as a series of intangible informative notions.
Focusing on the experience of reality and its representations, as well as the perception of space, he conceives works that encourage the viewer to question his or her own interpretation of what is real.
As part of his work process, Olivier Ratsi creates systems that deconstruct our spatio-temporal reference points, often using the technique of anamorphosis, developed during his research.
Making a break with objective reality, Olivier Ratsi's works are not specifically aimed to unleash emotions or to perturb the senses, but rather to work as a catalyst for different points of view and cultural and psychological references. As such, the viewer is not deprived of his own subjective capacity to reconstruct/reconstitute reality. Instead, he is invited to make up his own mind and to experience the works through his own personal reactions.

Continuum fa parte di Echolyse project, una serie di lavori incentrati sulla percezione dello spazio. L'installazione cerca di stabilire una connessione tra quattro superfici posizionate ad angolo retto in uno spazio concreto.
